Chiropractic: Proud to be different.
They say the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over yet expecting a different result. As chiropractors, we’re proud to offer you and your family something different, particularly at a time when being healthy has never been so important.
So why do we do what we do? Well, it all starts up the top.
1. BRAIN
Did you know your brain weighs 2% of your body weight but uses roughly 20% of your energy and oxygen intake? And it’s in control of every cell, tissue, and organ in your body, always doing its best to make sure everything is running in harmony together.
2. BODY
Did you know your body has 50-75 trillion cells? And every 7 years each one of those cells has been replaced, so you’ve got a completely new body every 7 years. Our body has 11 different organ systems that all work together to keep us functioning well. Each one of these cells and organ systems rely on the connection to your brain to do their job and keep you functioning day in day out.
3. FUNCTION
Did you know the liver has to perform over 500 different functions? And you didn’t have to ask it to do any of them, how cool is that! Our body is designed to function really really well when given the right nutrients and conditions. There are countless functions taking place from your heart beating, your kidneys filtering and your stomach digesting yet you don't have to put any thought into any one of these for them to take place.
4. EASE
When our body is functioning really really well there is a ease to our system, we are more relaxed and the functions that do need to take place do so efficiently all of which lead to overall good health and wellbeing. A lack of ease, however (dis-ease) will lead to tension and a lack of balance in your system. Either way ease or dis-ease will impact your health for better or worse.
5. HEALTH
As defined by the World Health Organisation Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. There’s a lot that goes into our health yet it is commonly judged by the presence or absence of symptoms and disease.
6. I FEEL ____________ (Great or Bad)
This is where the ‘symptoms’ come into play. Feeling great is a symptom of good health.
So, where am I going with this?
As chiropractors, we focus on 1. BRAIN and 2. BODY.
Our focus here is to make sure your brain and body have the best possible connection via your spine and nerve system by addressing areas of SUBLUXATION in the spine.
Why? Because when there is a poor connection between BRAIN And BODY it will lead to mal-FUNCTION, dis-EASE, ill-HEALTH, and ultimately the presentation of SYMPTOMS.
It’s about choice and for me, I choose a BRAIN that’s well connected to my BODY so that I can FUNCTION really really well living a life of EASE and great HEALTH so I can FEEL GREAT…. That’s chiropractic, it’s different and we’re proud of that.
